Biography
Damjan Vahen Svetinov (mortis en 1981) estis slovena poeto kaj pioniero de la esperanta movado en Jugoslavio. Li estis ekde 1935 iom da tempo eldonanto de Verda Revuo kaj inter 1937 kaj 1939 ankaŭ de la ljubljana esperanto-revuo Niaj Vizaĝoj.
Lia unua eldonita verko estis la poemaro "Klic duše" en 1933. Vahen skribis precipe en kaj pri Esperanto. En 1936 Vahen publikigis verketon kun la surskribo "Esperanto je last vsakogar in vseh!" ("Esperanto estas ĉies apartenaĵo") kaj diversaj artikolaroj pri esperanta gramatiko. En 1938 aperis lia traduko en la internacia lingvo de la "Krst pri Savici" ("Bapto Savica"), la granda epopeo de la plej granda nacia slovena poeto Prešeren.
