Biography
Courtney Reum is an American entrepreneur who co-founded Veev Spirits and M13.
Reum received his B.A. degrees from Columbia University with distinction in economics and philosophy and graduated from Harvard Business School. After college, he worked on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs before leaving in 2007 to found Veev Spirits, a company focused on producing organic vodka infused with acai berries, with his brother, Carter Reum. The Reum brothers initially sold their product out of the back of a car. Two years later, Veev was in 20 markets. By 2010, the company distributed across the nation and annual sales surpassed $2 million. Veev was featured on "How I Made My Millions" in August 2011. In March 2016, a majority stake in the company was sold to Luxco Inc.
Reum was added to the board of directors of Los Angeles Opera in September 2015. He also serves as commissioner of the Los Angeles Convention Center & Tourism Authority.
The brothers launched investment syndicate M13 in 2016 aimed at investing in start-up consumer products companies. Reum was one of the panelists on the second season of the business reality show, Hatched.
