Biography
Claude Deschamps, sieur de Villiers (c. 1600 – 23 May 1681 in Chartres), was an 17th-century French actor and playwright.
Specializing in valet roles, he was a member of the troupe du Marais then of the Hôtel de Bourgogne
In 1659 he wrote Festin de pierre ou le Fils criminel, a tragicomedy known to be one of the sources for the Dom Juan by Molière and four burlesques comedies: L'Apothicaire dévalisé (1658), Les Ramoneurs (1662), Les Côteaux ou le Marquis friand (1665) and Les Trois Visages
