Biography

Charles P. Cantrell (February 13, 1874 – August 3, 1948) was a private serving in the United States Army during the Spanish–American War who received the Medal of Honor for bravery.

Biography

Cantrell was born February 13, 1874 in Smithville, Tennessee and entered the army from Nashville, Tennessee. He was sent to fight in the Spanish–American War with Company F, 10th U.S. Infantry as a private where he received the Medal of Honor for his actions.

He died August 3, 1948 and is buried at Nashville National Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. His grave can be found in section 1, grave 132.
