Biography
Cengiz Gök (born December 23, 1985) is a Turkish ice hockey defenceman and former skier. Currently, he plays in the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League for Zeytinburnu BS. The 1.72 m (5 ft 7 1⁄2 in) tall player at 80 kg (180 lb) shoots left-handed. He also acts as the coach of the Turkey national team.
Sporting career
Gök began performing winter sports at age of twenty, practicing skiing at international level alond with playing ice hockey.
Club
He is a senior player at the Istanbul-based Zeytinburnu Belediyespor ice hockey team. He won the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League twice in the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons. He played at the first round matches of the
2015–16 IIHF Continental Cup in Belgrade, Serbia and 2016–17 IIHF Continental Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria. His team became group champion in the 2016–17 Cup's first round, and advanced to the second round.
Coaching career
Gök serves as coach of the Turkey men's national ice hockey team.
