Caroline Boudreaux is an American businesswoman and social entrepreneur. In 2000, she founded the Austin, Texas-based international nonprofit Miracle Foundation and is committed to empowering orphans to reach their full potential.
Biography
Caroline Boudreaux was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana and is the sixth of seven children. A member of a supportive family, Boudreaux works to ensure orphaned children grow up in the same type of loving home she did.
Boudreaux is a graduate of Louisiana State University. She is married to Ed Goble and currently splits her time between New York City and Austin, Texas.
Career
After a chance encounter with an orphaned toddler in rural India during a vacation in 2000, Boudreaux left her TV advertising career and created a methodology that is revolutionizing orphan care worldwide.
With no experience in management or fundraising, Boudreaux invested all her life savings and founded Miracle Foundation to ensure orphans receive all of their rights, per the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, so they can reach their full potential. Miracle Foundation reunites children with their families whenever possible, and guarantees children a quality education, a safe and loving environment, and personalized care as they transition into family care.
Awards
For her achievements with Miracle Foundation, Boudreaux was presented with the Hope Award in 2005 and the Impact Award in 2008. In 2009, she was recognized as one of 200 Young Global Leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. In 2011, Boudreaux completed a prestigious course on Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century at Harvard Kennedy School. In 2014, she was honored as an Outstanding Humanitarian on International Woman’s Day by Ten Thousand Villages. Boudreaux was honored as one of UBS' Global Visionaries in February 2017, and was awarded the Humanitarian Award by the Austin Chapter of the United Nations Association in October 2017.

In February 2015, Boudreaux gave a TEDx talk called "Engineering a Miracle," about the global orphan crisis and her work with Miracle Foundation.
Boudreaux has been featured in a wide range of media, including Maria Shriver's "Architects of Change" series, Forbes, People.com, Rolling Stone, Forty Women to Watch over 40, CNN, Austin Woman Magazine, and “One Peace at a Time,” a 2009 film by Turk Pipkin.
