Biography
C. Arumugam popularliy known as Madhuranthagathar was an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu.He was the founder member of Dravida munetra Kazhagam. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from Maduranthakam constituency as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate in 1971,1977,1984. He was also Chengalpattu District Secretary for Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam from 1971 - 1993. He was a close associate to Dravida Munetra Kazhagam chief Thiru M.Karunanidhi and he was a member of Dravida Munetra Kazhagam Trust.
