Biography

Beverly Thomson (born April 15, 1966) is a Canadian journalist and correspondent with CTV News Channel. Thomson was former co-host of Canada AM, CTV's national morning show, from 2003 to 2016. In 2006, she received the Gemini Humanitarian Award.
Thomson was born in Toronto and attended York University for two years before leaving after the death of her brother.
Thomson worked for six years at CFTO Toronto as an anchor on the weekend news program. She then moved to Global affiliate CIII as the anchor of both the 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m from 1997 to 2003. weeknight news broadcasts. She has been in broadcasting for more than 15 years.[1]
Thomson joined the Canada AM team in November 2003.
Thomson is an active figure with several Canadian charities—the Hospital for Sick Children, Children's Aid, the Charles H. Best Diabetes Foundation and a number of other organizations. She publicly announced her battle with breast cancer and became an official spokesperson for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.[2]
A 1987 graduate of Seneca College in Toronto, she received the school's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2000.[3] and the Ontario Premier's Award for Creative Arts & Design in 2003.[4] She serves on the board of advisors for the Broadcast and Communications curriculum at Seneca.
Thomson divorced her husband Rob Dale, and lives with her children Robbie and Taylor.
