Biography
Benedict J. Fernandez, is an American Photographer (journalistic/street photographer) for the last 50 years. He was born on April 5, 1936 in New York City's Hispanic East Harlem area. He was the developer and chairman of the photography department at Parsons School of Design. Following Parsons, Fernandez continued his career in the 1990s as a founder and CEO of Hoboken Almanac of Photography and the Almanac Gallery in Hoboken, New Jersey, and as a senior fellow in photography at the Corcoran Museum in Washington, D.C.
