Biography
Atul Basu (Bengali: অতুল বসু; 1898 - 1977) was a Bangladeshi artist (painter). He was expert in portraying realistic landscapes, portraits and village scenery. He basically uesd oil colors for painting.
Life
Atul was born in 1898 at Mymensingh in Bangladesh. He spent his childhood in the city of Mymensingh. He started his primary education in the National Council of Education, Mymensingh branch. Then he studied in Jubilee Art Academy of Kolkata. The syllabus of this academy was not same as other academies. Hemendranath Mazumdar and Bhabanicharan Laha were his classmates.
