Biography

Arthur T. "Art" Keller was an American football coach in the United States.

Coaching career

Keller was the head college football coach for the Carthage Red Men located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He held that position for 31 seasons, from 1952 until 1982. His coaching record at Carthage was 178 wins, 87 losses and 7 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2016 season, he ranks #1 at Carthage in total wins and #2 at the school in winning percentage (.667). He led his teams to eight conference championships during his time at Carthage.

His team had a 19 game winning streak from 1961 to 1963, the longest in the country at the time. Carthage named its football stadium "Keller Field" in his honor.

Keller died at the age of 68 in Racine, Wisconsin.
