Biography
Ariston (Graece Ἀρίστων), qui saeculo IV a.C.n. exeunte floruit, Alexandri Macedonis coaevus, fuit anno circiter 321 a.C.n. sectator Eumenis. Eo tempore Eumenes eo cineres Crateri dedit; fuerat igitur fortasse amicus vel parens Crateri. Postea anno 314 a.C.n. dum Tyrus obseditur Ariston, iam Antigoni Monophthalmi sectator, Crateri cineres Philae (quae Cratero olim nupserat) dedit. Is homo idem fortasse fuit ac Ariston qui equites in proelio iuxta Gaugamelam duxerat.
