Andreas Bruckschlögl

Andreas Bruckschlögl (* July 24th, 1989 in Weißenburg) is a German entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of the companies Ryte and Bits & Pretzels.

Andreas Bruckschlögl grew up in Thalmässing and Weinfeld near Hilpoltstein. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, he had his first business idea at the age of twelve. With his mother's consent he sold up to 40 bags and backpacks of their family's leather industry products a day on eBay, which made him start his first online shop. At the age of 17, Bruckschlögl founded another online shop but failed this time. In 2008, he became a trainee of Marcus Tandler and deepened his online marketing skills. At 21, Bruckschlögl was the head of inbound marketing and responsible for a team of ten employees. In February 2011, he started his apprenticeship at the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and Marketing in Munich and received his diploma in dialogue and online marketing in the following year. In August 2012, Andreas Bruckschlögl founded Ryte (formerly known as OnPage.org), together with Marcus Tandler, Jan Hendrik Merlin Jacob and Niels Dörje. The company distributes analysis software that helps website operators with optimizing and managing their homepages. Ryte was ranked in 2016 as one of the fastest growing digital companies in Europe by Deloitte.

In 2014, Bruckschlögl and Bernd Strom van's Gravesande launched the first founder event called Bits & Pretzels. The conference, which took place in Munich, is the largest start-up breakfast in the world as well as the biggest start-up festival in Europe, with personalities like two-time Oscar winner and tech investor Kevin Spacey, British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, Adidas CEO Kasper Rørsted or Airbnb co-founder and CTO Nathan Blecharczyk as speakers. More than 5,000 participants from over 80 nations attend this event every year.

Bruckschlögl also teaches at the University of Applied Management.

Private life

Andreas Bruckschlögl participated at several triathlons in his teenage years. He became Bavarian vice-champion in the triathlon class in 2005 and 2006. In 2006, he also became vice-champion at the Bavarian Cross-Race.

Andreas Bruckschlögl is a member of the Bavarian Digital Advisory Council, which was initiated by Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner. The Digitization Advisory Board aims to combine knowledge from science, entrepreneurship, business foundations and politics in order to make the state more efficient in a digital age. The goal is to increase perspectives on the labor market and create new jobs. Bruckschlögl is also a member of "Bits connect e.V.", an association helping start-ups to get in touch with important contacts and potential investors.
