Biography

Alexander Goodwin (born December 29, 1987,) is an American former child actor active in the 1990s. He is best known for his playing the role of "Chuy" in the 1997 film, Mimic.

Life and career

Alexander Goodwin was born on December 29, 1987, in New York City, New York. He made his acting debut in 1994, aged 6, playing the character of "Will" in director: Robert Benton's comedy Nobody's Fool, starring Paul NewmanJessica Tandy, and Bruce Willis. In 1996, he was seen as "Bobby Fountain" in Tom DiCillo's comedy/drama Box of Moonlight.

After appearing in I'm Not Rappaport (1996) and a short movie March 29th, 1979 (1997), Goodwin landed his most memorable role of "Chuy Gavoila" in Mexican director Guillermo del Toro's sci-fi film Mimic. In the film, starring Mira Sorvino and Jeremy Northam, Goodwin plays the character of an autistic ward of an immigrant subway shoe shiner named Manny (played by Giancarlo Giannini).

Goodwin was last seen on the silver screen in 1998 in a supporting role in John Turturro's Illuminata.
