Alan Silson

Alan Silson (gitara, vokalas) su Chris Norman ir Terry Uttley 1965 m. Bredforde, (Anglija), sukūrė muzikos grupę „The Yen“, vėliau „The Sphynx“, dar vėliau – „The Elizabethans“. Po to grupės pavadinimas pakeistas į „Kindness“, o nuo 1974 metų muzikantų ketveriukė jau vadinosi “Smokie”. Su jais jau koncertavo būgnininkas Pete Spencer. Grupės muzikos stilius – melodingas soft-rokas. 1996 m. Alan Silson palikus grupę Smokie, jį pakeitė gitaristas Mick McConnell.
