Biography
A Saye Sekhar (born September 10) is an Indian journalist, columnist, and a political analyst. He works as an author at Firstpost writing a commentary on Political, Business, Lifestyle, Culture and other current and general issues that impact human lives. He was the Chief of Bureau and the Head of Vijayawada edition of The Hindu from where he left in September 2009.
Early life
Saye received his B. Sc., degree in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry from Andhra University in 1988 and took up journalism as a profession. Since 1988, he has worked with The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle and The Hans India before he stepped on to being the Editor and Consultant at News5 / TV5 group. He took his postgradudate degree in Communication and Journalism from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Career
A Saye Sekhar began his career as a journalist in the later part of 1988 as a Trainee Sub-Editor in Eenadu at Hyderabad. He worked in the launch teams of district dailies of the publication which pioneered these supplements. He later moved to Eenadu's sister publication, Newstime, an English daily in 1992, and served there as head of City reporting bureau. He joined Deccan Chronicle as a Senior Political Correspondent in November 1993 and worked there until August 1996.
Saye Sekhar joined The Hindu at Guntur and worked there in different positions for more than six years before he was elevated to the position of Chief of Bureau and Head of Editorial at The Hindu edition in Vijayawada. He later moved to Hyderabad as a Business Editor in The Hindu. After he quit The Hindu, he launched his own venture ABDC Media & Communications Pvt Ltd, which currently operates as an HR and Placements Consultancy. He served as an Associate Editor/ Senior Editor in Hyderabad's first afternoon daily Postnoon.
Later, he consulted with TV5, a popular Telugu TV Channel, for its mobile application and then moved to a startup. Saye Sekhar has authored hundreds of independent articles in different publications and ran columns in newspapers. He visited Chicago(IL), USA, in 2003, as part of the Rotary International's Groups Study Exchange program, and visited several newspaper offices and interacted with journalists, including the Chicago Tribune, as part of professional understanding.

Saye Sekhar is married to Sailaja Angara. They have one daughter, Sindhuja.
