Biography

Pietro Ostini (27 April 1775 – 11 July 1849) was an Italian papal diplomat and Cardinal.

He was nuncio in Switzerland and became titular archbishop of Tarso in 1827. He was then nuncio in Brazil and Austro-Hungary.

He was created Cardinal in 1831, and became bishop of Jesi in 1836. He became bishop of Albano in 1843.
