About Aubrey O'Day: Quick Facts You Should Know

Aubrey O'Day (born Aubrey Morgan O'Day, February 11, 1984) is an American singer and songwriter.

She is a member of American alternative dance-pop duo, Dumblonde, with Shannon Bex. Before dumbonde, both and Shannon were members of girl group Danity Kane, along with Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgett, Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres. In 2008 she was ranked #86 on Maxim's Hot 100 list and #81 on Blender's 100 Hottest People list.

Career beginnings

Aubrey got an early start in singing. She was bitten by the singing bug at the age of four, when she was at a performance of The Nutcracker, with her mother –– and began performing on stage the following year. She was more interested in singing and acting than school. Her early influences were The Notorious B.I.G. and Sean "Puffy" Combs.

Education

Aubrey  grew up in Orange County, California where she attended La Quinta High School. Later, she studied political science and drama at the University of California, Irvine.

Danity Kane days

In 2004, participated in the third iteration of MTV reality television series, Making the Band - a talent show produced by Sean Combs, Jonathan Murray, and Mary-Ellis Bunim. stole the spotlight, impressing P. Diddy with her voice and dance moves. Johnny Wright of Backstreet Boys, who served as one of the judges, stated that she was destined to be a star. 

Aubrey was chosen for the band, which they named Danity Kane, and they released their first album in August 2006. The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200 charts.  The group was the opening act for Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics Tour with the Pussycat Dolls.

Reality television

In 2008, played the role of Amber Von Tussle in the Broadway musical Hairspray. The following year, she performed in Sean Patrick Cannon-directed movie American High School, in which her costars were Nikki Ziering, Jillian Murray,  and Talan Torriero. The same year, she also appeared on the Donnie Wahlberg's single "I Got It."

In 2012, participated in Donald Trump's The Celebrity Apprentice 5. Her performance in the show was abysmal and she was criticized for being "narcissistic" and "self-centered." She was eventually fired from the show. 

Dumblonde days

After the split of Danity Kane, continued to perform with her former bandmate, Shannon Bex. In 2015, the duo formed Dumblonde - the band was managed by 
Johnny Wright, who was also the manager of Danity Kane. 

Aubrey is a Hillary Clinton supporter. On November 9, 2016, the day after Donald Trump won the election, she tweeted, "You can be a lying abusive ignorant piece of trash that is personally and publicly racist, sexist, & homophobic and run our country."

On 19 March 2018, PerezHilton.com revealed that had a secret affair with Donald Trump Jr. in 2012, after The Celebrity Apprentice. The news came few days after Trump Jr.'s wife, Vanessa filed for divorce. 

perezhilton.com also speculates that the song DJT, in her 2012 album Between Two Evils, was for Trump Jr.
