Biography

Vitali Tajbert (born May 25, 1982 in Michailovka, Kazakh SSR) is a German boxer and former WBC world champion as well as Olympic medalist, who competes in the lightweight division.
His family migrated from Kazakhstan as ethnic Germans to Stuttgart in 1992.

Amateur results

  • 1999 won a bronze medal at the Junior European Championships in Rijeka, Croatia at Bantamweight.
  • 2000 won the gold medal at the Junior World Championships in Budapest at Batamweight.
