Biography
Đuro Blažeka (born April 8, 1968, Prelog) is a Croatian linguist, lexicographer and expert of the Kajkavian dialect.
Born in the Međimurje. He graduated the high school in Varaždin in the legal specialization. In Zagreb he studied Slavic Studies and graduating in 1992. His dissertation wrote about the Međimurian dialect of Kajkavian language and the Kajkavian dialectology (2004). He was a teacher of Croatian language for several years.
Blažeka is an important expert of the Kajkavian language and contributed to the writing of many dialectical dictionary (primarily about the dialect of Međimurje and Drava region).
