Tumo Turbo (February 23, 1970 in Sidama province – October 29, 2008) was a long-distance runner from Ethiopia, who won the Eindhoven Marathon on October 13, 1996, clocking a total time of 2:11:26. Incredibly, only 3 weeks later, he came in 2nd place in the 1996 New York Marathon in 2:10:09, finishing a mere 15 seconds behind champion Giacomo Leone.

Turbo represented his native country in the men's marathon at the 1996 Summer Olympics, alongside Abebe Mekonnen and Belayneh Dinsamo, but did not finish the race. He held the course record of 2:14:56 in the 1992 Tel Aviv Marathon until 2014.

He died on Monday October 29, 2008 in a fatal car accident which occurred in the Addis Ababa-Awassa road and killed another 18 people.
