Biography
Trivandrum Ramakrishnan "T. R." Ramadas (born 30 March 1955) is an Indian mathematician who specializes inalgebraic and differential geometry, and mathematical physics. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 1998, the highest science award in India, in the mathematical sciences category.
He studied engineering in IIT Kanpur then joined TIFR as a graduate student in physics finally changing to mathematics after his interactions with M S Narasimhan.
He is currently a professor at Chennai Mathematical Institute, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
