Biography

Tomin Oleksii Georgiyovich (July 30, 1961 – September 16, 2016) was a Ukrainian artist, master of urban architectural landscape, historical philosophical and spiritual figurative painting. He worked in the watercolor technique, oil painting, and original technology, using the texture of wood. A special place in his work has a monumental painting.

Biography

Born July 30, 1961, in Kyiv, Ukraine in the family of the Kiev intelligentsia (scientists-biologists). In his childhood (from 1965 to 1976) he was engaged in the Kiev children's artistic studio of the artist N.O. Ostashinsky In 1980 he graduated from Kyiv Technical College of art and industry (now M. Boychuk Kyiv State Institute of Decorative Arts and Design) with honors (I. T. Volkotroub workshop) and received the artist-designer specialty. In 1986 he graduated Kiev State Art Institute (now the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture), in specialty - artist-architect, prof. B.I. Pryimak workshop, by the lead of G.F. Dobrovolskaya. After the Institute, in the army, he was engaged in graphics and illustrations of various literary works (Bulgakov, O. Grin, S. Thompson, etc.). Since 1988, he actively participates in exhibitions, first as a graphical artist (also he joined the National Ukrainian Artists Union as graphical artist); Later as a painter. Cooperates with Ukrdiafilm, the publishing house "Economist" and other publishing houses as an illustrator. As an artist-architect, he creates a number of monumental paintings, stained glass compositions and mosaic panels for clubs, dining rooms, Trypillian children's home, Kiev medical institute and other public institutions. Since 2003 he is a member of the Ukrainian Artists Union.

Art
