Biography
裴德思（德語：Thorsten Pattberg，1977年－），德国国籍，出生于哈姆，语言学者以及作家，北京大学高等人文研究院研究人员。
生平
1993年进入德国哈姆区法院以及明斯特检察官。2001年进入爱丁堡大学。2007年在上海中国科学院和克斯·普朗克学会的计算生物学研究所工作、2008-2010年在东京大学和哈佛大学进行研究工作。2012拿到北京大学文学博士。
著作
曾出版过4本专著，以及论文20余篇，大部分关于中西比较文化和中国文化中所称的圣人。 同时也经常在国际各大报纸上发表过文章，如中国日报、今日中国、上海日报、亚洲时报在线、德国时报、日本时报、韩国先驱报等。主要理论专著有《The East-West dichotomy》、《Shengren》、《Inside Peking University》等。主要代表论文有《Language hegemony: It's shengren, stupid!》、《Long into the West's dragon business》、《Chinese Concepts Lost in Translation》、《The End of Translation》等。
