Taylor Baldwin

Taylor Baldwin is an American television actress and television host.

In 1999, she appeared as "Carrie Chadwick" in the episode "Sin" of Brenda Hampton-produced TV family/drama series, 7th Heaven.

In the years 1995-2008, she worked in a variety of roles –– spokesperson, anchor, producer –– for Fox Sports Net, CBS/TNN, KCBS-TV “Sports Central”, KTLA-TV 5 Los Angeles, KFMB-TV San Diego, Eyemark Entertainment, STAR 100.7 FM and CBS Newspath.

In 2013, she hosted The Taylor Baldwin Show on  U-T TV for San Diego Union Tribune.

In April 2013 she hosted an ad campaign for a beauty product, "Hot Buns," on nation-wide television. In addition, she has appeared in television commercials for Strap Perfect and Lash Full.

Bob Filner sexual misconduct allegations

In the summer of 2013, Baldwin, in conversation with U-T Watchdog reporter Trent Seibert in "U-T Watchdog: Rendezvous on video," brought up the alleged sexual misconduct claims against the then-San Diego mayor, Bob Filner. In the video, Baldwin says of Filner:

He loves women. He made that apparent to me the moment he met me, in front of witnesses, he would — and he had a fiancée. I mean, this was before they — you know... He just recently — the fiancée just recently broke up with him, but, while he had a fiancée he was, like, 'Whoa, you are so beautiful. Are you single? Are you single? Are you married? Are you married? You want to be the first lady of San Diego?'

According to San Diego Reader, Filner responded to the allegations, stating:

When I learned this last piece of information, I said to Ms. Baldwin, 'You're selling your hot buns for only $10? Wow, that's pretty cheap! Are you single? Do you want to be the First Lady of San Diego?' The implication being that, given the city's financial woes, a bargain like that would make good fiscal sense. Looking back, I realize that was a terrible joke. But at least I didn't suggest that Ms. Baldwin's Hot Buns might work better without the elastic band. The implication being that I allegedly told a woman that she might work better without panties on her personal Hot Buns, and panties utilize an elastic band. And looking back, I realize that was also a terrible joke. I need help.

Amidst numerous sexual misconduct allegations, Filner eventually resigned in August 2013.
