Taneko ″Tané″ Matsukata (松方 種子 Matsukata Taneko, 1918–1989) was the founder of Nishimachi International School in Azabu, Tokyo. Her paternal grandfather was former Prime Minister of Japan Matsukata Masayoshi. Her maternal grandfather was a Japanese silk entrepreneur Ryoichiro Arai. Her sister was Haru M. Reischauer, wife of former United States Ambassador to Japan Edwin O. Reischauer.
