Talleiv Huvestad (1761 – 13 July 1847) was a Norwegian teacher, farmer and politician.

Talleiv Olavson Huvestad was born on a farm in the parish of Skafså in Øvre Telemark, Norway. In his youth, he moved with his mother to the parish of Eidsborg in Tokke within the traditional region of Vest-Telemark. As an adult, he was a farmer who also served as a part time teacher in rural Telemark villages.
