Sayantani Ghosh (born September 6, 1985) is an Indian television actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Amrita on The Zee TV's drama television series Naaginn. She was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 6.
She is also known for her roles of Pranali Gujral in Adalat and Satyavati in Mahabharat (2013 TV series) respectively.Recently she acted a special show for comedy nights with kapil aired on 31st January 2015.


Sayantani Ghosh was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, on 6 September . She won the Miss Calcutta beauty pageant and found some roles in Bengali films before landing her first television role in 2002, in the Indian soap opera Kumkum. She has also done cameo in Zee TV's Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein.

She also worked in Naaginn and Adaalat as Amrita and Prosecutor Pranali Gujral and gained; rave reviews from critics and popularity through these roles.

She has participated in the sixth season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of original UK show Big Brother. and got evicted from the show in the third week. She was a very humble person and she got along with every participant in Bigg Boss' House and didn't have any fights with anyone during the period she was at the house. In the house, she was a very good dancer and singer. But unfortunately she got evicted on day 20 from the Bigg Boss house.

Later in 2013, she appeared as Satyavati in the hit television series Mahabharat (2013 TV series). Her role of Satyavati in the great epic was of a fisher-woman who later became; Emperor Shantanu's second wife and step-mother to Bhishma. She had to exit from the show when her role of Satyavati decided to spend her last years in forest. In 2014, Ghosh portrayed Nividita Basu in Ekta Kapoor's Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar. She also became a contestant on Dare 2 Dance which aired on Life OK.

In 2015, Ghosh played Rajkumari Rajeshwari in Sasural Simar Ka. She then appeared in Rishton Ka Mela, Comedy Nights with Kapil and Comedy Classes. At then end of 2015, Ghosh appeared as Poulomi Maa in &TV's Santoshi Maa.
