Samantha Gail Weinstein (born March 20, 1995) is a Canadian actress.
Life and work
She was born Samantha Gail Weinstein in Toronto in 1995, and has a younger sister. Samantha Weinstein started her acting career at the age of six and a half, in a theatre camp where she had one week to put a play together. For Siblings (2004) she auditioned with the recital piece, and had to practice it a lot but eventually really got into the character. In 2008 she told in an interview, I'd study to be a lawyer or doctor...But I find acting so much fun. Weinstein was screened for Case 39 (2009) and True Grit (2010).
In the independent film Jesus Henry Christ (2012) Samantha Weinstein was co-starring Toni Collette and Michael Sheen, she was playing alongside Sheen interpreting of a behavioral scientist who experiments on his own daughter. Making her feature film debut, she nailed the audition. You’re asking for a preteen girl who’s simmering with anger and…[with many of the auditioners], there’s no simmering there. She came in and pulled a Christina Ricci, told the director to Harper's Bazaar.
Nevertheless, she was acting, Samantha Weinstein graduated from the Toronto High School, Vaughan Road Academy, with Ontario Scholar status in June 2013.
