Rosa María Calaf

Rosa María Calaf (born Rosa Maria Calaf Solé, June 17, 1945) is a veteran Spanish journalist, reporter, news anchor and former correspondent of Televisión Española. She has been a correspondent for TVE since 1972. Currently, she works in the Asia and Pacific area. She was also a director of programming at TV3 early in her career. She has received numerous prizes for her work.

His maternal grandfather hails from Rocafort de Queralt, Tarragona, Barcelona was a businessman. He graduated in law from the University of Barcelona and Autonomous University of Barcelona in journalism.In 2008 she was invested Doctor Honoris Causa by the University Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona and in 2010 from the University Miguel Hernández de Elche. The silver streak on his forehead that would be defined as the characteristic feature, was the brainchild of stylist Luis Llongueras. Rosa Maria Calaf has been until recently the oldest correspondent of TVE, with 37 years of journalism behind. His last job was as a correspondent for BBC1 in the Asia Pacific region. Previously, he was a correspondent in Moscow, Vienna, Buenos Aires, New York, Canada and Rome. He was also director of programming for TV3 in 1983.

In over three decades of professional experience has been in over a hundred countries, microphone in hand in search of news. Due to the redundancy of RTVE for 50 years awaiting his impending retirement, but eventually covered the Asia-Pacific area, preparing coverage of the Beijing Olympics in 2008. In November 2008 ERE voluntarily availed of TVE. In 2009, she finally retired on reporting industry.
