Biography

Robin Gunn is the best-selling Christian author of over 90 books, including several series aimed at teen girls as well as Christian fiction for older women and a few non-fiction books. Her books have sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide. She is best known for her debut, The Christy Miller series, and its companion series, The Sierra Jensen Series, "Christy and Todd: the College Years", and the "Katie Weldon" series.

In addition to the teen fiction, Gunn is known for her women's Christian romance series "Glenbrooke" and the "Sisterchicks (R)" series. In 2007 she received the Christy Award for her novel "Sisterchicks in Gondolas".

In November 2016, a television film adaptation of the first two novels in her Christmas series "Finding Father Christmas" and "Engaging Father Christmas" was broadcast on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, as Finding Father Christmas, starring Erin Krakow and Niall Matter. At the time of broadcast, the film was both the highest rated and the most watched premier in the network's history. Gunn also published an ebook ("How My Book Became A Movie:A True Story") detailing her experiences of the process, from the origins of the novel into the film's production. A possible sequel to the film, based on the third book in the series "Kissing Father Christmas" is currently in development.

Personal life

Born in Wisconsin, Gunn moved to California at age 5. As of May 2011, she and her husband have been married for 34 years, and live in Hawaii. They have two grown children. Gunn serves on the Board of Directors for Media Associates International, a non-profit organization that provides training and encouragement for writers and publishers in difficult places of the world.
