BUNTA Péter estas rumania hungara historiisto. Li naskiĝis en Grădinari (Drăgănești) la 1-an de marto 1928, kaj mortis la 19-an de aŭgusto 1992. Li estis la edzo de Magda Bunta.

Bunta Péter studis en Universitato Bolyai de Kluĵo, poste li iĝis kandidato de sciencaj historioj de Universitato Lomonosov de Moskvo en 1959. De 1963 li estis la sekciestro de Transilvania Historia Muzeo kaj redakcia sekretario de revuo Acta Musei Napocensis
