Paul J. Alessi (born 1968) is an American film/television actor and producer. He is best known as a contestant during the first season of "The Amazing Race" in 2001 along with his then-fiancee Amie Barsky, and his role of "Kyle" in Alpha Males Experiment/Knuckle Draggers (2009.)

Early life

Paul Alessi was born as Paul Joseph Alessi in 1968 in Queens, New York. 

Growing up, he spent most of his youth playing competitive ice hockey and fighting as an amateur boxer. He also participated in his community as a volunteer firefighter and a coach for youth sports.


Alessi made his acting debut with director F. Gary Gray's music video for a 1995 TLC's song Waterfalls. The music video won the Best Video of the Year award.

Five years later, in 2000, he was seen in two episodes of TV Series Courage: as "David Bradley" in the episode "Big Bear Fire" and as "C.J. Flowers" in the episode "Mig Disaster".

2004 saw his film debut with a supporting role in director Tony Mark's thriller The Mailman. In the following year, 2005, he launched himself as a co-producer (alongside Jamie Millhoff and Baptiste Derivel), for a short film titled Morphin(e). He also acted in the film, playing the character of "Jack Norris."

Over the following years, he produced, and co-produced, numerous films including Allison (2006), Ten 'til Noon (2006), Truth or Dare (2007), Official Rejection (2009), Dominion (2015), and Deadlink (2019).

In 2009, he produced and acted in the starring role, of Kyle, in the feature film "Knuckle Draggers". For his part, he won the "Best Actor" award at the 2009 ReelHeART International Film Festival. The film, which was re-introduced under the title "Alpha Males Experiment", was directed by French director Alex Ranarivelo and had in its primary cast Ross McCall and Amie Barsky, besides Alessi.

In the same year, he was also the field producer for director Troy Duffy's The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.

Currently, in 2020, Alessi is working on a variety of new projects including According to Scott, BiBee, Burnt, Darkest Kelly, and Deadlinked –– the release dates are yet to be announced.
