Biography
ASBÓTH Oszkár [pr. aŝbo:t] estis hungara lingvisto, universitata profesoro, ano de MTA naskiĝinta en Novarado la 10-an de aŭgusto 1852 kaj mortinta en Budapest la 24-a de aŭgusto 1920.
Kariero
Asbóth studis en Budapeŝto, Lepsiko, Berlino kaj Göttingen. Li studvojaĝis plurfoje en Rusujo (1882, 1889). Li instruis la slavan lingvistikon kaj literaturon en la Universitato de Budapeŝto. Ekde 1907 ĝis 1917 li redaktis la revuon Nyelvtudomány.
