Orange Cassidy
Quick Facts
Biography
James Cipperly (born May 4, 1984), better known by his ring name Orange Cassidy, is an American professional wrestler, currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Cassidy is perhaps best known for his time in Beyond Wrestling and Chikara. During his time on the independent circuit, he was a member of "The Gentleman's Club" faction, alongside Chuck Taylor and Drew Gulak. Cassidy won his first Independent Wrestling TV title when he defeated Tracy Williams on December 31st 2018, before dropping the belt to Kris Statlander the following May. A month later, Cassidy regained the championship at Beyond Wrestling: Secret Show. His second reign lasted until September, before losing the title to Erick Stevens.
He made his AEW debut in August 2019, aligning himself with Best Friends, aiding them against The Dark Order.
Having wrestled for over a decade and taking his current ring name around 2009, his gimmick is compared to that of Ryan Gosling's character in Drive: an aloof, somewhat hungover slacker who carries his title belt in a backpack, wearing sunglasses and a faded denim jacket and jeans with a t-shirt with his face on it.
