The Miss Alaska USA competition, previously known as Miss Alaska Universe, is the pageant that selects the representative for the state Alaska in the Miss USA pageant and the name of the title held by its winner.

Hannah Carlile of Fairbanks was crowned Miss Alaska USA 2020 on November 2, 2019, at Wendy Williamson Auditorium on the UAA Campus in Anchorage. She will represent Alaska for the title of Miss USA 2020.

Alaska is one of the least successful states in Miss USA with only five placements since it was joined in the Miss USA system after becoming statehood in 1959. Up until 1958, it sent delegates to Miss Universe. The state made its first placement in 1964, the fourth-to-last state reached its ever placement. Patricia Martin was the second runner-up and remains the highest placement overall, Alaska's most recent placement was in 2017 when Alyssa London placed in the top 10. Alaska held the most wins in the pageant's history for "Best State Costume," until the category was discontinued in 1994. Two Miss Alaska USA titleholders were former Miss Alaska Teen USA titleholders and two were former Miss Alaska titleholders who competed at Miss America.

The pageant has been held in both Anchorage and Fairbanks, where it was held in conjunction with Winter Carnival.
