Merrilee McCommas is an American film and television actress known for her roles in Family Law (1999-2002), Friday Night Lights (2006-2010), and American Crime(2016).
McCommas was born on January 24, 1971, in Texas. She began her television acting career in 1997 at the age of 26, starring in the television series NightMan, and then continued to act in such series as Family Law (1999-2002), Friday Night Lights (2006-2010), GCB (2012), and American Crime (2016).
In 2002, she lent her voice in James Dalthorp's crime/drama Cottonmouth. The following year, she made her film debut playing "June" in Bruno Barreto's romance comedy View from the Top, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Christina Applegate, and Mark Ruffalo. Her last film credit was Richard Linklater's Boyhood, in which she played "Obama Mama."
