Biography

Melissa Iris McIntosh (née Grah; born 24 August 1977) is an Australian politician who has been the Liberal member of the House of Representatives for Lindsay since May 2019.

McIntosh was born in Penrith, and studied at Western Sydney University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, communications, public relations and video production.

McIntosh was a communications manager with Wentworth Community Housing, a not-for-profit housing co-op based in western Sydney, when she was pre-selected by the Liberal Party to contest the key marginal seat of Lindsay. She was elected at the 2019 Australian federal election, defeating Labor candidate Diane Beamer, and succeeding Labor's Emma Husar who was not pre-selected.
