Biography
Mauro E. Mujica (born 1941 inAntofagasta, Chile) is a Chilean American who is the Chairman/CEO of U.S. English, the nation's largest organization advocating for English as the official language of the United States.
Mujica was educated at Columbia University and holds a Bachelor’s and master's degree in Architecture.
In his early career, Mujica was an architect and then Chairman/CEO of the Pace Group, an international architecture and planning firm, from 1983-1987.
He is fluent in three languages (English, French and Spanish), has a working knowledge of Italian, and has studied Russian. He lives in Washington, D.C. while spending weekends in Boca Raton, Florida.
