Biography

Martin Ragaway (January 29, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York – April 20, 1989 in Los Angeles, California) was an American Emmy Award-winning screenwriter.

Career

Ragaway wrote screenplays from the 1940s to the 1970s, and is known for writing a number of Abbott and Costello films; he co-wrote the most famous sketch in comedy history. Abbott & Costello's "Who's on First". He also wrote for popular TV series such as The Red Skelton Hour, Get Smart, The Brady Bunch, The Bill Cosby Show, Here's Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, The Partridge Family, Diff'rent Strokes, and The Facts of Life. He also helped to write two Ma and Pa Kettle movies, 1950's Ma and Pa Kettle Go to Town, for which he penned the story and screenplay and the story for Ma and Pa Kettle At the Fair in 1952.
