Biography

Livia Malcangio is an Italian journalist, an interpreter and translator from five languages, a human rights activist, and since 1999 works for the Permanent Secretariat of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates. Ms. Malcangio has represented the KidsRights Foundation in Italy for seven yearsand has translated for a number of world leaders during G8 Summits, NATO Summits, humanitarian missions such as in Iraq, as well as in diplomatic meetings. She has organized missions for Nobel Peace Laureatesand for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). She is the Liaison Officer of Europe of the Japanese non-profit Organization ASCA, which deals with overseas students exchange programs. She has edited books for the Italian public administration on sustainable tourism (Archaeology, Tourism & Entertainment) and on inter-religious dialogue (Earth and Skies of God, the Environment of Human Beings). In August 2013, Ms. Malcangio has published her educational illustrative book entitled "Being Nobel", describing the courageous stories of recent Nobel Peace Laureates and reaching out thousands of students and young leaders connected to the World Summits of Nobel Peace Laureates.
