Lauren Hays, also known as Laura Lynn Thorsen, (born 21 May 1968) is an American singer, film and television actress, and producer known for her roles in Silk Stalkings (1992-1996), Renegade (1997), and Married... with Children (1997). She has also hosted several shows for Playboy TV and appeared as an extra on Baywatch, Rosanne and Wings.
Hays was born Laura Lynn Thorsen on May 21, 1968, in Fairfax, Virginia. She made her acting debut in 1992 with two comedies—Bob Logan's Meatballs 4 (starring Corey Feldman, Jack Nance, and Sarah Douglas); and Alan Roberts's Round Trip to Heaven (starring Corey Feldman, Ray Sharkey, and Zach Galligan).
Then in 1993, she starred in a science-fiction movie Alien Intruder with Maxwell Caulfield, Tracy Scoggins, and Billy Dee Williams; and Richard W. Munchkin's sensational drama Ring of Fire II: Blood and Steel with Don Wilson and Maria Ford.
Hays was also a radio presenter—along with the announcer Gretchen Massey—for the talk show Laura & Gretchen UNCUT on KSLX-FM radio.
Around 2007, Hays transitioned to singing and moved to Nashville, where she recorded her first CD. She co-authored "Medal Of Honor", a song dedicated to the American military that was featured on 3 compilation CDs. She toured for American troops in Okinawa, Iraq, Kuwait, and Kosovo. Together with her musician husband Lucas Hoge, she wrote the theme of Animal Planet's 8-part series Last Chance Highway.
Personal life
Hays was married to film director Gary Dean Orona. The marriage ended in divorce in August 2006. She then married singer, composer, and songwriter Lucas Hoge on March 11, 2010.
