Kristin Hannah

Kristin Hannah (born September 25, 1960) is an American writer.

Hannah was born in California. After Hannah graduated with a degree in Communication from the University of Washington, she worked at an advertising agency in Seattle. She graduated from law school in University of Puget Sound and practiced law in Seattle before becoming a full-time writer. She currently lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington, with her husband and their son.

Screen rights to The Nightingale were sold in 2015 to director Michelle MacLaren at TriStar Pictures. They hired Ann Peacock to write the screenplay, and the project is in development with no release date set.
