Kathy Ambush is the former wife of American judge, lawyer, and government official, Clarence Thomas.
Kathy is from Worcester, Massachusetts, and her father, Nelson Ambush, was a dental technician in Worcester. She was introduced to Clarence when he was studying at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Kathy and Clarence married on June 5, 1971, the day after Clarence's graduation, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Worcester. The relationship went sour and they separated in 1981, and divorced in 1984. The couple had one child, Jamal Adeen, in 1973.
According to NYPost, after the separation, but still not divorced, Clarence began dating attorney and lobbyist, Virginia Lamp Thomas. Virginia was an aide to Republican Congressman Dick Armey.
Clarence married Virginia in 1987.
