Kathrin Glock

Kathrin Glock (born 26 November 1980) is the second wife of Gaston Glock, the founder of the firearms company, Glock.

Life

Kathrin was born as Kathrin Tschikof on 26 November 1980 in Carinthia, Austria.

She met Gaston Glock in 2004, who, at the time, was married to his wife of nearly fifty years, Helga Glock. They had married in 1958 and co-founded the family business in 1963. The couple had three children: Brigitte Glock, Gaston Glock jr., and Robert Glock –– who were all working for the Glock family business.

While undergoing treatment, Glock fired his wife, Helga, and the children, and began to change family trusts to exclude them from ownership. Gaston and Helga divorced in 2011, and in July 2011, Gaston married Kathrin, 50 years junior to him.

Helga had accused Gatson of many wrongdoings — including money laundering, fraud, racketeering, and theft — designed to cut her and her children out of their fair share of the company and its profits.

Career

In 2010, Kathrin began managing the Glock Horse Performance Center, an equestrian facility located in south Austria. The riders' team at Glock Horse Performance Center include such notable equestrians as Edward Gal, Hans Peter Minderhoud, Gerco Schröder and Nicole Werner.

In 2012, she became a supervisory board member of the Glock GmbH.

Kathrin is also part of the IGG private foundation and donor of the Gaston and Kathrin Glock private foundation. She also became a part of the medical advisory board of the Glock Health, Science and Research GmbH. In addition, she is a supervisory board member of AustroControl, an Austrian civil aviation company.

Animal Rights Movement

Kathrin is an animal rights activist and a vegan. She supports various animal rights organizations including the animal sanctuary Gut Aiderbichl in Henndorf.

Since 2017, the Gaston and Kathrin Glock private foundation is prize donor of the Kärntner Tierschutzpreis.
