Biography

Kameko Tarnez also known as (K. Hebron) is an American rock, pop, and soul singer. He has collaborated with many icons such as Michael Jackson, Erykah Badu, Toni Braxton, Grace Jones, Rita Marley, Vanessa Williams and other artists. KAMEKO is the owner of Archrok Entertainment and partner of Split Vision Entertainment. To date the company is in pre-production for several upcoming film releases one of which is a musical entitled Gospel Soul Rock N Roll, written and produced by Kameko Tarnez. The musical is slated for film and stage release in 2016.

Life and career

KAMEKO started singing professionally at the age of 12, touring night clubs, schools, and amusement parks. In 1994 KAMEKO was the opening Act for Disney Star Raven Symone. In 1997 KAMEKO starred as the "Scarecrow", alongside music Icon Grace Jones, Grammy winner Peabo Bryson, and dance artist CeCe Peniston in the touring revival of the hit Broadway show The Wiz.After that KAMEKO toured Italy with Bob Singleton and his group "Golden Gospel Singers" for the "Gospel America Tour" as a featured Singer and dancer. He later recorded a cast album with the group, which sold over 500,000 copies.

In 2000 KAMEKO moved to London to and signed a recording deal with "SugerReff/BlakKat" on the Sony Music Label, in 2002 he and the label parted ways. With the support and guidance of Universal Music Group president Monte Lipman, KAMEKO released his first studio album in 2003 entitled "Evalt "(Evolutionary Alternative) on his own label Tarpaul Records. KAMEKO's Music document video was featured on MTV2's show "Advance Warning". The album received rave reviews which lead to KAMEKO's 2006 music collaboration with music legend Michael Jackson.

Also in 2006, KAMEKO' s "Crazy 4 Your Love" reached No. 1 on the UK Dance Charts (for DJ play list), the song was featured on the hit TV show "Hero". He was then a featured guest performer for the Imagination’s Revolution Awards Show at The Apollo Theater. Honoring platinum selling rap group Dead Prez and Music mogul Damon Dash and Oscar winner Lee Daniels.

In 2007 KAMEKO was invited to Perform alongside Grammy Award winner Erykah Badu and others for a Stevie Wonder music tribute concert in Dallas at The Black Forest Theater. KAMEKO also Collaborated With M1 of Dead Prez and Nayrok Udab, younger sister of Erykah Badu on a remix of his single "Tired Of Being Broke". The original version of the song was later used in the Showtime documentary American Drug War: The Last White Hope In 2008, in an attempt to support Barack Obama's campaign, KAMEKO launched a national tour and was then invited by the presidents team to perform for select inaugural events.

In 2009 KAMEKO moved to Paris to start working on his new project and collaborated with Paulo Goude, son of music icon Grace Jones. The two released the single "Never Gonna Get It" in 2010. To represent the continuation of Bob Marley's musical legacy, KAMEKO and the Marley family shot for Essence Magazine at the Marley mansion in 2011. KAMEKO partnered with Starbucks, Carver Federal Savings Bank, Rolling Out Magazine, Oscar-winning actor Matt Damon and his Godmother Rita Marley (Widow of Bob Marley) in 2011 for his "Tired Of Being Broke Tour". Liberia's President Ellen Sirleaf was the honored guest for the tours opening night on March 19 in Liberia at ATS Stadium. The show was sold out to a crowd of 15,000 people.

Current

In the summer of 2012 KAMEKO did tour dates with the Evalt Music Festival throughout Europe. He is now finishing his 5 Song EP to be released Summer 2015.
