Bardd, gweinidog, llenor o Gymru oedd John Emlyn Jones(1818 - 1873).
Cafodd ei eni yng Nghastell Newydd Emlyn yn 1818 a bu farw yn Glynebwy. Enillodd Jones y gadair yn eisteddfod genedlaethol Dinbych 1860.
Enillodd ef nifer o wobrau, gan gynnwys Cadair yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru.
Mae gan y Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru casgliad archifau am y person yma.
