Jim Kassis

James "Jim" Kassis is an American percussionist and jazz musician. 

Kassis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from San Jose State University, San Jose, California, and has studied under Tony Cirone, Jack VanGeem, and Alfred Kanwisher.

He has extensive Bay Area ensemble experience, performing with the CA, San Jose, San Francisco, Monterey, and Santa Cruz Symphonies; Opera San Jose; the California Shakespeare Festival; the American Musical Theatre of San Jose; Gene Harris; and the Cabrillo Music Festival.

Kassis has taught privately and at the National Guitar Workshop and Soundsation Jazz Camp. He currently teaches drums and percussion at Community School of Music and Arts, Mountain View, California, where he has been a member of the Music Faculty since 1992.
