Biography
Jenni Ruiza is a Latina producer, actress, comedian, and writer from Bronx, New York. She is currently the co founder of Comedy High, a "full service comedy production company - producing female-driven comedy that's intelligent, risque and unique! Currently producing sketch comedy, web sitcoms, short films and anything else that tickles our funny-fancy!". She is also a co host of the podcast "Fixx Podcast". Starting at a young age, Ruiza began her career in middle school where she would write screen plays. She would make herself the starring role of each, alongside the women who inspire her. These women include the likes of Bette Midler, Diane Keaton, and Meryl Streep. At that young of an age, Ruiza realize the humanization of the characters the actresses played through their TV disguises which played with subtlety and humor. Ruiza was hooked on shows like "Mama's Family", "I Love Lucy", "Roseanne", "The Honeymooners", and more . Along with the actresses mentioned before, these shows not only inspired Ruiza but also gave her a sense of direction. She wanted to star in TV shows and films, focusing on her love for comedy. At the same time, Ruiza was also very aware of the issues and obstacles that she would have to face as a Latina woman.
