Biography
Rebecca Cummins (born 8 September 1990), better known by her pen name Jayde Griffiths, is an English author of poetry and the upcoming adult fiction series Love and Danger. The first book, Her Pound of Flesh, is due to be released sometime during 2016/17
Personal life
Griffiths was born Rebecca Jade Karen Cummins to English parents in Manchester. As a child, Griffiths used to write poetry and song lyrics. Griffiths took an interest in history, music and art in school. She took the pen name Jayde Griffiths using her middle name and part of her mother's name and also her paternal grandparents' name. She currently resides in Manchester, England.
Career as an Author
Poetry
In early 2000s, Griffiths put all her poetry together and decided to publish it, she wrote poetry when she was younger and many of the poems in the book are from that decade. Many relate to loss due to family members passing away. Her poetry was published under the name Letters on a page.
Love and Danger series
In early 2012, Griffiths created a female character who had changed her life plan due to a tragic accident happening to her mother, on Griffiths' website she states that Elizabeth, her lead character, was first part of another story she was working on but she decided to make her a main character in her own book.
Blur - one tragic incident caused the road of Elizabeth Renfred's life to drastically change. A trauma that happened to her family when she was a young girl, mapped out the rest of her life. She's a girl with a gun who takes out anyone who's caused harm and not had justice served to them. Some call her a wise girl because of her connection to the Mafia whilst others call her Izzy her contract name. The rest of the world know her as the girl who makes grown men wet themselves in fear and women sob as they know their time has come. She's cold, she's heartless and doesn't have any limits that's until she means Leon Caito a man whom she thinks she's saving when in reality he just might save her instead.
Griffiths confirmed there will be at least a sequel in the series.
Other work
Griffiths released a statement via her website and Facebook page that she had other works which were either finished and being edited or were currently being written and on hold until The first book for Love and Danger was released.
Her first story, Teenage Trauma, was the first full novel she wrote, she had decided not to release it due to personal reasons at the time. Griffiths confirmed in 2013 she would be releasing Teenage Trauma after editing. A date has not yet be confirmed. The story follows the lives of a group of friends and how every person has skeletons in their closet. The book was written early 2005 it will be the longest story to date to be released by Griffiths.
Griffiths also confirmed there was going to be a comedy book she was currently working on the book will contain pictures and be in a comic-like format. The story will follow the life of the two main character's a female lead Carrie and her 'friend' Peanut.
